Who could take the place of Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey?
The chances of her signing on are slim, but if "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto is smart enough to create a female character for season 2 as intriguing as Rusty Cohle and Marty Hart you might be surprised to see the Oscar winner on the small screen. Swinton appeared on the original BBC version of "Going On" in 2012 (now in production for season 2 on HBO) and appeared on one of the network's dramas at the beginning of her career so she's not adverse to Television. She also loves to surprise with the unexpected and - more importantly - puts the script above all else. That means she'd have to be impressed by "TD," right? (OK, maybe she'd have to ignore how much of a plot device Michelle Monaghan was at times during season 1). It's a longshot of epic proportions, sure, but dare to dream.
