Lady Gaga isn't slated to perform, and with nine major awards nods (13 total) and likely wins, she doesn't have to.

The "Bad Romance" singer has been working on (finally) completing a follow-up to "The Fame," though she has tour dates scheduled through the end of the year. But she also has some spring 2011 stops slated, which makes us think there may be a new set by that time -- making us think that the MTV Video Music Awards may be the perfect time to start revealing some album detes. Gaga is outspoken during her Monster Ball tour and, considering VMA royalty Britney Spears will be absent from the show, Gaga may have the floor all to herself.

Even if she keeps her thank-yous to "thank you," keep in mind that Gaga had around six outrageous costume wardrobe changes at last year's MTV VMAs event and associated parties -- not even counting when she took to the stage. You can rest assured that the pop star will bring the crazy without even having to open her mouth.
