10 pressing 'Star Wars' questions we have after the J.J. Abrams announcement

Who directs the expected third installment of the rebooted "Star Trek"?

Who directs the expected third installment of the rebooted "Star Trek"?

It was never a given that Abrams would return to helm a third "Star Trek" film, but when it was revealed the filmmakers considered the project a trilogy many believed he would. Clearly, it would be shocking to see Abrams to go from "Trek" to "Star Wars" and then back to "Trek" again.  So, who's next? Paramount has much bigger concerns with just making sure "Star Trek into darkness" turns out to be the global blockbuster everyone is expecting.   Will a Bad Robot alum take over?  It likely won't be anyone major (no people,  David Fincher is not directing a "Star Trek" movie), but there's a long list of secondary players who will be willing to take the gig.

My only ironclad rule for Star Wars is: John Williams must do the music. No ifs, ands, or buts. You must agree even in the universally hated prequels, Williams' score was the bright spot. The Star Wars theme is ICONIC, no Star Wars without the scrolling introduction would be another sci-fi movie that has Star Wars as its name. Period.

Sorry for the double post, but Hamill is a credible and decent voice actor. While it's true he has self-parodied his role as Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill's voice as The Joker in Batman, the Animated Series, Justice League and other DC Universe movies is considered the definitive voice. Just pointing out another side of Hamill's acting career.
