Comeback Vehicle: Judd Apatow's "This Is 40"
Will It Work?: It all depends on how much of her work actually ends up in the movie.  Judd Apatow is becoming the Terrence Malick of comedy in terms of actors having to wait until the final cut is screened before they know whether or not they're actually in the film.  Fox plays one of the employees working for Leslie Mann's character at the boutique she runs, and when I visited the set, I spoke with Fox about her role.  She seemed to be having a great time, and she helped build out many of the details of the character.  Word from at least one early screening seems to indicate that almost none of what we talked about made it into the actual movie, though.  Chances are the person who is least concerned about whether this helps redefine her to audiences is Fox herself, who just confirmed for the first time in public that she has a new project to keep her busy, a happy, healthy baby boy.
