10 Oscar winners who would make good supeheroes or supervillains

Matt Damon

Sure, Damon already played a near-superhuman action hero in the original "Bourne" trilogy, but with his run in that franchise now a thing of the past, why not take it up another notch and play a full-blown superhero? After all, best friend and fellow Oscar winner Ben Affleck (the duo won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for "Good Will Hunting" at the 1998 Oscars) already took on the role of Daredevil, and while that didn't exactly pan out so well in the end (the resulting film became a tidy hit but didn't set off any fires - and let's not even mention "Elektra"), Damon has the A-list credentials and physical look required to play practically any superhero he wants. Hell, we can even see him suiting up in Daredevil's red horned costume for the inevitable reboot (the rights reverted back to Marvel just last month), which would no doubt make for a great news story given the Affleck connection, though Marvel would likely go with a younger thesp. So how about DC superhero the Flash? The character has been untapped cinematically, and with Warner Bros. currently ramping up their impending "Justice League" franchise, the time is certainly ripe for it.
