Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
It was the second of two sets played by Cave and his Bad Seeds collaborator Warren Ellis over the weekend (their side project Grinderman played Friday night), but there was no sense of fatigue in Sunday night's killer Bad Seeds performance. Alternating between established show staples such as "Red Right Hand," "Stagger Lee" and "The Mercy Seat," and tunes from their newest, "Push the Sky Away," The Bad Seeds were in fine form at Coachella, aided by an ominously darkening sky, intense desert winds and even a children's choir. Sexy and spooky in equal measures.
