From What We've Seen: "Trauma" looks like a straight-up adrenaline rush with a couple hastily sketched out character archetypes grafted on. But Peter Berg hasn't steered us wrong as a TV executive producer, from the intriguing "Wonderland" to the superlative "Friday Night Lights." Even though he didn't write or direct the pilot, his presence is a reason for some measure of confidence. The cast is also strong, led by Cliff Curtis, who has been a reliable supporting presence in a number of movies and may be perfect as a TV star. And while Derek Luke never quite found that movie to keep him on the big screen, one of his best performances came in Berg's "Friday Night Lights" feature. And anybody who has watched "Friday Night Lights" (the show) or even "Bionic Woman" knows that Kevin Rankin makes the most of whatever screentime he's given. We also look forward to finally determining if Anastasia Griffith is annoying as an actress or if her character on "Damages" was just a pill. We suspect (or hope) the latter. Plus? Things go boom!
