We aren't dreading 'The Vampire Diaries,' 'Flash Forward' and 'Melrose Place,' but...
The CW's 'The Vampire Diaries'
"The Vampire Diaries"
Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on The CW
From What We've Seen: Brooding vampires brawl over a pale, skinny high school chick? If "Twilight" fans need methadone to ease them from one movie to the next, this may serve admirably, but the clips look humorless, derivative and really lame. From some female viewers, week-after-week of Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder being tortured or torturing might be entertaining, but the clips suggest "The Vampire Diaries" will be mighty glum for the rest of us.
