Christina Aguilera - 'Beautiful'
After a bad reception of "Dirrty," Christina Aguilera released "Beautiful" directly after it in late 2002, revealing one of her greatest vocal performances to date. And, for a while, it looked like she wouldn't have been the one to sing it: songwriter Linda Perry was saving it for her own singing career, even after Pink asked nicely to use it. The message resonated with listeners, even if it was never heard at No. 1.
