10. Andrew Garfield at 'The Amazing Spider-Man' panel
Why it's legendary: When Sony decided to do a hard reboot of the "Spider-Man" franchise, it was not something fans easily accepted. Heading into Comic-Con, Sony knew they had to really win the crowd over, and they put the full weight of that onto the shoulders of Andrew Garfield. When he showed up in the audience, dressed in what looked like an ill-fitting homemade Spider-Man costume to read a letter about what the character meant to him, it may have been calculated, but it worked. He came across as a comic fan who had been given the winning lottery ticket, grateful and thrilled and more than a little bit nervous. It was enough to give most people hope that Garfield was going to get it right.
