Jim Carrey is the all-time king of the MTV Movie Awards.
And finally, if you're wondering who holds the records for wins and nominations at the MTV Movie Awards, it's an easy answer because it's one guy: Jim Carrey. He has brought home a trophy on 10 occasions, five of them for the Best Comedic Performance category (as noted in the last slide). But he's barely ahead on that score, because believe it or not, "Twilight" franchise star Robert Pattinson is nipping at his heels with nine of his own (four of them for kissing Kristen Stewart throughout the series). Meanwhile, Carrey comfortably has the lead in nominations with a whopping 21 citations. It's fairly obvious why. Carrey dominated this demographic for a long, long time. He's cooled off a bit in recent years, having not received a nomination since 2008…though, guess what? He won that year, too (Best Comedic Performance for "Yes Man"). He also received the MTV Generation Award in 2006. He is undeniably the King of the Golden Popcorn.
