10. "Brightwing": Karen Arnold's too cool for school.
I love how "The Wonder Years" made Kevin's older sister Karen both a typical hippie princess and enough of an enigma that we never knew her whole story. In "Brightwing," Kevin learns a lot about Karen after he realizes she's ditching school. He becomes her accomplice and plays hooky himself to join her at her pals' groovy hangout, but he soon learns that Karen is as troubled and insecure as, oh, anybody. His connection to Karen is real, and her strident overcompensation is even more authentic.
