7) 'The Sopranos Diaries'
Do we really need a parody of “The Sopranos” so long after Journey warned us about the perils of suspending disbelief while eating onion rings? Probably not, unless you get the show’s cast doing a series of unbelievably great impressions of Tony, Carmelo, Paulie, and others in a high school setting. As I wrote at the time, “Certain sketches get the highest grade here because they transcend the show’s normal genres. This one gets high marks for flawless execution within established parameters.” Breaking the mold isn’t needed when the quality is this good.
