World Series: St. Louis Cardinals at Boston Red Sox

Clay Buchholz of the Red Sox

Boston pummeled the Cardinals in Game 1, but it was as much St. Louis losing as it was the Red Sox winning. Lester silenced the bats of the Cardinals, so they couldn't get any offense going, but the Cardinals also had 3 errors and gave up 4 unearned runs. Was it World Series jitters, or was it a sign of things to come? We will find out shortly as they are back on the field in Boston tonight for Game 2. Right now the Cardinals have Micheal Wacha scheduled as their starter, and so far in the playoffs he has been brilliant, giving up only 1 run in 3 starts. He may be just what St. Louis needs to turn their fortunes around.
