NBA Playoffs: Boston Celtics at New York Knicks
Apr 23, 2013TV Network - TNT
New York picked up the win in a sloppy first game, where both teams barely shot 40% from the field, and Boston committed 20 turnovers. Boston could not get into a rhythm all night, but did manage to disrupt Carmelo enough to cause a horrendous shooting night for him, even though he still managed to score almost half of New York's points. The Celtics will have to shore up the turnovers and hit some shots, or they will be facing a two-game deficit.

New York really came together this season, and proved that they can compete at an elite level. They won the Atlantic Division by 5 games, while Anthony won the league's scoring title. The Knicks are obviously an offensive threat, but they rely more heavily on defense to win games, so the match-up with Boston works in their favor as the Celtics often struggle to put up points. The Celtics have proven their toughness though, continuing to win and make the playoffs after losing their play-maker and point guard to a season ending injury.
