Man vs. Wild

The Discovery Channel president and general manager says that "Man vs. Wild" is 'the gold standard in survival and adventure.'  While he doesn't state that the host's name is the gold standard for joke potential in host names, Bear Grylls, it is, and if it was Bear Gyrlls it would be even better.  We shouldn't kid too much though, Bear does incredible things, things like climbing a 200-ft waterfall and going head-to-head with Green Pit viper snakes so we shudder to think what he could do to us.  Tonight we get the season finale, which means that even if the man has been winning thus far this season, the wild still has a chance to pull out a 'W.'
