The Bulls have proven all season they can win without their MVP, and are currently only four games behind the East leading Heat. The Lakers are having the opposite problem, being unable to find a winning combination with their all-star squad. They are currently at risk of not making the playoffs, which makes every game for them a must-win. The biggest difference in the two teams this season is defense, and the fact that Chicago plays great defense, while Los Angeles' defense is basically non-existent. If the Lakers can step up the intensity when they don't have the ball, they have a chance against any team, but so far that seems kind of like a pipe dream.
