2014 NFL Pro Bowl

Peyton Manning handing off to Arian Foster in the 2013 Pro Bowl.

After almost calling it quits on the Pro Bowl after last year, the NFL decided to bring it back, but also to change things up in order to make it more exciting for fans and players. They have done away with the aligning teams by NFC and AFC, and instead have Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders as captains who will pick teams, so teammates could end up playing against each other in the Pro Bowl. There will also be some rule changes to try to help the quality of play, including 2-minute warnings with a change of possession at the end of each quarter, and no kick-offs. Will these changes make a difference? Will the players take it more seriously, making for an enjoyable game, or will the NFL once again have to consider ending the Pro Bowl once and for all? It is hard to say, but it will be worth tuning in this year to see how it plays out.
