What's the worst sequel of all time?
I saw this article today that they might be making a Hancock sequel: My first reaction was "Why?!" My second thought was what is the worst sequel of all time? Or more specifically what was the biggest drop off in quality from the first film to the second? I've got Speed 2 at the top (or the bottom) of my list right now. |

You're totally right about "Speed 2". It was absolutely terrible, simultaneously boring and unintentionally hilarious (there were so many continuity errors it was hard to believe). I'd say comedy sequels usually tend to be pretty weak ("Weekend at Bernie's II", "Caddyshack II", "Police Academy 2", etc.). Also, "Exorcist II: The Heretic" represented one of the biggest drops in quality between the first and second films in a series ever. |
