Seems to me like Twilight breaking dawn: 2, would have to be a contender. From a quality perspective it will get crushed by Hobbit and Dark Knight, but I'm not sure if those two can keep up with the Twilight juggernaut. |

The thing is Twilight movies usually are very very frontloaded and they crash and burn after the first weekend...take the breaking dawn 1...I think it didn't pass the one that came before it in terms of overall gross |

Breaking Dawn, Pt. 2 will be lucky to hit $300 million. Dark Knight Rises should hit at least $400 million. Quality will depend whether it hits $533 million of Dark Knight. Avengers and and Hobbit will also be huge (though Hobbit will gross much of that in 2013). |

I've got a 10 dollar bet with my buddy which film will gross more worldwide: Dark Knight Rises or The Avengers. I bet Avengers. Dark Knight is one of the few billion dollar movies that made more in North America than worldwide, something that I can't see repeating again. Also Avengers 3D surcharge FTW. |
