Trope: Car Chases in Comedies

Is it just me or does it seem like almost every comedy movie that comes out has to involve a car crash or a car chase? It's getting to the point where my suspension of disbelief goes right out the window when these scenes happen.

I think it's just you, because I try really hard to remember the last car crash/chase comedy that I saw. I think it was THE HANGOVER.

I suppose it just depends on whether it makes sense for the story...I'm sure there are instances where a car chase has been shoehorned into a comedy for whatever arbitrary reason. Can't think of any examples off the top of my head however...anyone else?

I probably should have been more specific. I don't watch a ton of comedies but I feel like I get around to most of the highly marketed ones, which seem to be the ones that use the trope(?).
Here is a list of comedies I've seen in just the past year or so that sparked this.

Bridesmaids - Car Accident
Arthur - Car Chase/Accident
Paul - Car Chases/Accidents
Fright Night (kinda comedy) - Car Chase/Accidents
Horrible Bosses - Car Chase/Accident
The Sitter - Car Chase/Accident
Date Knight - Car Chase/Accident
Due Date - Car Accident
Youth in Revolt - Car Chase/Accidents

And this is me actively leaving out the buddy cop comedies and such.

Just watched 'Hall Pass' last night, was surprised that it was actually pretty funny.
And then sure enough, over-the-top car chase.
