We've all heard the weird stories about how Bill Murray chooses his movies (he has a phone number and takes pitches quickly rather than having an agent do it) but looking at the movies Steve Carell picks I have to wonder his method. Some are pure genius, like "Anchorman," "Crazy, Stupid, Love" and "The 40-Year Old Virgin" but others, like this new one "Hope Springs" and "Date Night" are just head-scratchers. "Hope" doesn't look that bad (http://www.ranker.com/list/hope-springs-movie-quotes/movie-and-tv-quotes has some clips if you've not seen) but it's not really the demographic of movies I'd expect from him. Almost reminds me of "Dan in Real Life" which was kind of meh too. Anyone else notice this?
