Game of Thrones, "Blackwater" discussion for book readers
Spoilers Included

Same drill as always. No talking about the George R.R. Martin books in my episodic reviews, so talk about anything and everything related to them and "Blackwater" here. I'll post a link to the episode review here when it's up.

Well I got my first comment deleted from Alan's blog 19 episodes in for apparent spoiler reasons that didnt spoil anything. The part of my post that someone complained about is that I said "I was on the edge my seat over the Tommen scene even though I knew he survived because I have read the books." The only thing I talked about knowing was that he didn't die there, which is what we saw in the episode, lol. Which that comment was said really to showcase the point of how great they were able to create tension and believability even if you knew what the outcome was suppose to be.

Speaking of the last scene... In the books it didn't happen like that did it? I mean the poison and Cersei giving it to Tommen?

Awesome episode...

All I hope though ,is that soon enough they screen tv shows in cinemas as well!!!!

It could have for all we know as noone involved in that moment was a POV character, though it is never ruminated on by Cersie when she does get a POV.

I could be wrong (and could go back and check), but wasn't Tommen in another city? Rosby I believe?

Yeah, a few book-readers ruined things, so now you basically have to pretend you have no idea if something is original or not. It's hard to comment on anything involving the writing.

You are correct. I forgot about that and just doublechecked on towerofthehand.com to confirm he was in Rosby for safe keeping...

yeah I know I have been walking that tight rope pretty well, as I usually comment all the time on his blog for Throne Game since the premiere and had yet to get a deletion. It has gotten a lot more strict in his rules over time I have noticed. I probably shouldnt have mentioned in my original post that I have read the books because then nothing could have been construed as being spoilery, I put it in there to show how great the show did at making a tension filled scene even if you believe you should know what the outcome is...
