For those of you who will be heading to San Diego next month for Comic-Con, some cool news: I will again be moderating the "Chuck" panel on Saturday...

... and this time, I'll be doing it with Fienberg as co-moderator.

Check out everything there is including photos, reviews, videos.
Schwartz and Fedak claim they wanted us both to prove once and for all to the world that we are not the same person (I could just be arguing with myself on the podcasts, after all). My goal will be the same as last year: stay out of the way and let these funny people and their fans talk to each other, and with Dan on stage with me, I guess I'll have to talk half as much as a year ago.

We're both looking forward to it, and we're damn curious to see how these guys top last year's Jeffster! mini-concert. See you there.

Jeffster mini concert could easily be topped with a mini lingerie fashion show with all of the babes who have ever been on the show ;-) (mainly Jordana Brewster and Yvonne Strahovski)

  • Please, please PLEASE! If there's any way to bring Yvonne more into the conversation, please find it!

Zac and Adam and Josh are complete extroverts, I know. We love it. But Yvonne seems so quiet next to them!

sepinwall I don't know if Yvonne's coming (there isn't a full guest list yet), but if she is, you can rest assured that one of our first questions will be to her. My one and only regret from a year ago was forgetting to ask her something, and then the fans doing the same.

Sekaku Actually i wouldn't mind if you did more questions, not only moderator questions are usually more specific and intersting, but two years ago the best were the ones that involved whole cast. Ask some questions to Yvonne, yes. But also ask 1-2 that will involve whole cast, where every cast member has to give an answer. Two years ago i think Mo Ryan asked "how would you like your character to die?" or something along those lines.

Frankly the reason i'm not so looking forward to fans question because they are mostly the same and if i've to listen one more time to "what is Jayne favorite gun?" or "Who would win a fight between Jayne and Casey?", i'll seriously hurt somebody feelings. :)

      MC Alan-

Just a heads up, Yvonne tweeted yesterday (source: https://twitter.com/Y_Strahovski ) that she would be at the panel for sure. Now, since she has her charity tournament in LA that afternoon, I doubt she'll stick around for press rooms and other stuff, but atleast she'll be at the panel. And yes, please tell Zac to shutup and let the poor girl talk!

Tom Galloway Possible thing to try; Set up a Google Moderator for the panel in advance. This allows folk to submit questions to ask, as well as vote submitted questions up or down. This way you can get a feel for what others want to ask, but get to apply quality control.

Admittedly, I haven't used it in the wild myself, but it worked well at Google when it was still internal only vis a vis submitting questions for our Presidential candidate interviews back in '08 (I had an odd side job of, an hour or so before each interview, going through the top 10 or so submitted questions and doing an edit pass on 'em before passing them off to our CEO or whichever exec was doing the interview. Things like collapsing three Iraq questions into one, removing "Let me explain for four paragraphs why this question is important to me personally" boilerplate, etc. in order to get 'em into a form the CEO could use.) http://www.google.com/moderator/

Sammi I concur to the idea of getting (or rather, giving) Yvonne (and the rest of the cast) turns to talk during the panel. Just don't let the discussion all come from one seat on the panel. PLEASE!

Wanna cut a deal? Manage to sneak me into the Chuck panel room and I'll sneak you into the Pro/Fan Trivia Match room on Sunday. : -) (OK, so we've never turned away audience for it, and the only lines have been until the door opened from the previous item, but I figure it's worth a shot. : -) This year the Pros are scheduled to be Wein, Busiek, and Waid, with Peter David moderating (health permitting; he's currently recovering from back surgery).

If you guys are going to be co-moderating, who's going to live-tweet/blog the panel for those of us who can't be there in person?

Alan and Dan, don't be afraid to articulate the panel. Please ask questions and get EVERY cast member to be involved. In the past, Zach was the only cast member who did all the rambling, while Schwartz/Fedak did all the answering. Everybody else didn't even have a chance to finish a whole sentence.

    Looking forward to it!

From Sekaku: "Frankly the reason i'm not so looking forward to fans question because they are mostly the same and if i've to listen one more time to "what is Jayne favorite gun?" or "Who would win a fight between Jayne and Casey?", i'll seriously hurt somebody feelings. :)"

Yea, seriously. The fan questions are usually the most disappointing part of the panel for me. Same questions tend to repeat every year. Especially the Jayne vs Casey one. LOL

Com'on folks, you got 24 days (that's 576 hrs) to think of one really good question to ask the panelists. You have only one chance, so give it your best shot!

Please ensure the whole cast is involved and echo the sentiment of finding some way to pre-screen audience questions to separate the chaff from the wheat.

Alan, here are my thoughts on season 4. Maybe you can form this in a question to Josh and Chris. If season 4 has Chuck carrying on his fathers work without Sarah, Casey and full team Bartowski, if Chuck is constantly lying and decieving the ones he loves the show will fail and season 4 will be the last. However, if Season 4 has team Bartowski with full opennes and honesty carrying on the Steven Bartowski work along with Chuck and Sarah growing every closer with those weekly tender moments between them, possible leading to another marrige this season will be a big success with a season 5 and beyond.

One question I would like to her Yvonne answer is said to Doc "he is incredibly special" what does Sarah believe that to mean? We know Chuck has an amazing mind that can handle the intersect beter than anyone, but I think it meas his tremendous ability to put those he loves and cares for above all else, his genuine goodness

Btw can you ask a question, if they will create storyline that will pair Ellie and Sarah in some way, because those two characters haven't had too many scenes together and frankly IMO this show right now is too much of a "sausgae fest".

This may not be relevant anymore but for argument sake can you please ask "who did Sarah really choose before Casey showed up?"
    Thanks

Can't wait to see Feinberg, mainly to know if he really looks as much like Better Off Ted's Phil Myman as he does in my head, in light of how much they sound alike.
