Tom Petty goes on virtual tour to promote 'The Live Anthology'
Couch potatoes rejoice: you can enjoy Tom Petty in concert from the privacy of your own home.
Petty and the Heartbreakers will promote the Nov. 24 release of "The Live Anthology" box set by going on a cyber tour. The Superhighway Tour starts Sept. 29. Over the course of the eight-week virtual tour, fans will get half of the 48 tracks sent to them digitally, with the remaining half delivered on Nov. 24.
"The Live Anthology" covers 30 years of Heartbreakers' music, spanning 1978-2007 and costs $24.98.
According to tompettysuperhighwaytour.com, in addition to the 24 tracks, early-bird purchasers get band commentary, photos, videos and vintage photos. Your "ticket" also allows access to exclusive merchandise.
"The Live Anthology" comes in the basic 48-track edition as well as a deluxe edition available via Best Buy that includes another CD of live tracks, a Blu-Ray disc of all the songs, two DVDs and other goodies.
