The queen of country kicks the king of country to the curb
It still remains brutal out there in the world of slipping CD sales, but country fans continue supporting their favorite artists as country acts top the chart for the album third week in a row next week.
Reba McEntire knocks George Strait off the chart throne with her first CD for Valory Records, "Keep on Loving You." The title is on track to sell around 95,000 copies, according to Hits Daily Double. Strait's "Twang," drops to No. 2. As you'll recall, Strait kicked Sugarland's "Live on the Inside" CD/DVD out of the top spot on the Billboard 200 last week. (Sugarland debuted at No. 2 on Hits' chart, which is comprehensive, and, unlike Billboard's Top 200, allows catalog titles). Michael Jackson's "Number Ones" slips to third place next week.
Third Eye Blind makes a rousing return with "Ursa Major," the group's first album in six years. It's coming on strong with expected sales of 50,000.
Rounding out the top 10 will be former Grammy best new artist nominee Ledesi's "Turn Me Loose" and Sean Paul's "Imperial Blaze."
