The good news is the Pixies are doing a very special tour to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their classic album "Doolittle." The bad news is the they are only playing Europe.  Black Francis, Kim Deal,   Joey Santiago and David Lovering will open the tour in Dublin on Oct. 1. Tickets go on sales Friday, July 3.

The band will perform "Doolittle" in its entirety, as well as the B-sides associated with the project.  As a little refresher course, "Doolittle" was the Pixies' second album and its first released internationally. It reached No. 8 on the U.K. charts.  Among the top tracks from the album are "Debaser," "Here Comes Your Man," "Hey" and "Wave of Mutilation."

Concurrently, the Pixies boxed set, "Minotaur," comes out in early October.

We're trying to find out if the Pixies will bring the "Doolittle" tour stateside and will post an update as soon as we hear back from their rep.
