Rihanna and Chris Brown in studio recording duet
Song produced by Polow Da Don details a relationship's challenges
Rihanna and Chris Brown share a moment during last year's MTV Music Awards.
Say it isn't so. A number of outlets, including TMZ and Radaronline.com are reporting that Chris Brown and Rihanna were in the studio together the last few nights recording a new duet.
According to TMZ, producer Polow Da Don helmed the track, which is a love song. TMZ quotes a source as saying "the feeling in the room was pure love." RadarOnline's source says the tune's plotline is about "when a woman goes through trials in her relationship with her man, and how through the challenges they face, even through those challenges, they make them stronger. The key concept is being stronger and growing together as a couple, and learning through those challenges." The song was written before Brown allegedly beat up Rihanna on Feb. 8 in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles district attorney has charged Brown with two felones: assault and making criminal threats.
I know Brown and Rihanna are both adults, but is there really no one in either stars' orbit who thinks this just may be a bad idea and has tried to talk sense into them? It's inconceiveable to me that, if Brown did beat up Rihanna, that she would be in the same room with him, let alone recording with him. Stats show that it takes at least three times for a man to abuse a woman before she leaves, and it's often as many times at nine or 10-if she lives that long.
