'Now 31' compilation features Britney, Lady GaGa, The Fray
Download-challenged music fans still flock to multi-artist collections
Lady GaGa
Despite the ability to download virtually all of the singles on the "Now That's What I Call Music" compilations, these quarterly, multi-artist hits collections continue to fly up the charts.
Sure, their sales are slightly diminished by downloads, but they still do better than they have any right to, in part, because they're cheaper than downloading the songs individually and they serve as great catch-ups for casual music fans who want to stay on top of what's happening, but don't have the fervor or time to do it while the songs are rushing up the charts. They're great audio scrapbooks of the year in music.
"Now 31" comes out June 30 and it's chock full of hit tunes from artists like Black Eyed Peas, Lady GaGa, Pitbull and the Fray.
The track listing for "Now 31" is:
1. The Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow"
2. Flo Rida "Right Round"
3. Lady Gaga "Poker Face"
4. Pitbull "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)"
5. Jamie Foxx "Blame It"
6.
TI w/Justin Timberlake "Dead And Gone"
7. Kid Cudi "Day & Nite"
8. Soulja Boy Tell 'Em "Kiss Me Thru The Phone"
9. Beyonce "Halo"
10. Ne-Yo "Mad"
11. Pink "Please Don't Leave Me"
12. Ciara w/Justin Timberlake "Love Sex Magic"
13. Britney Spears "'If U Seek Amy"
14. Kelly Clarkson "My Life Would Suck Without You"
15. 3OH!3 "Don't Trust Me"
