No Doubt starts tour May 3 in New Jersey
Paramore, the Sounds, Jonelle Monai tapped to open
Gwen Stefani and No Doubt perform at the 2003 Super Bowl
As readers of Hitfix have noticed over the past week, the spring/summer tour announcements are coming fast and furiously now. No Doubt will take to the road for the first time in five years on May 3 at the Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands, East Rutherford, N.J. The 45-date amphitheater tour ends on the other side of the country in the band's backyard at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif. The tour includes a stop in Las Vegas, May 16, to play Tiger Woods' Tiger Jam charity event.
Paramore will open all dates. Along for the ride on selected shows will be the Sounds, Janelle Monai and Bedouin Soundclash.
Tickets go on sale March 7. In some markets, tickets will be available for as low as $10.
Fans can go to www.nodoubt.com to download a widget featuring exclusive video content from the band. Furthermore, fans who share the widget with the most number of friends could be eligible to win a chance to meet the band.
If you can't see them in person, No Doubt will appear on "Gossip Girl" on May 11. The group will perform a cover of Adam Ant's "Stand and Deliver."

March 2, 2009 at 5:06PM EST Reply to CommentI am incredibly excited to see this show. I took advantage of the pre-sale set up and grabbed a pair of pit tickets for the Houston, Texas show. I last saw ND on the Rocksteady tour in Brisbane, Austalia and London, UK and both shows were fantastic. Every band member is electric on stage and as a group they possess such a commanding energy. I must say I am a tad underwhelmed by the support line-up. Oh well. You can't have everything I suppose...
