"This is It," a new single from Michael Jackson, will come out Oct. 12. The song takes its name from the original title of Jackson's concert series that was supposed to take place at London's O2 Arena, and now from the feature film documenting his rehearsals for the tour prior to his June death.
The track was mixed under top secret security at Capitol Studios in Hollywood. Two version of the track will be released, according to AOL. One version will feature Jackson backed by his brothers. Both versions will appear on a two-disc soundtrack to "This Is It." Sony Music will release the 2-CD set on Oct. 27, one day before the film opens in the U.S. Last week, a probate judge cleared the way for the soundtrack.
The first disc, AOL continues, will be music from the rehearsals, while the second disc will be previously unreleased versions of his hits.
And there's probably plenty more where that came from. Jackson supposedly had more than 100 unreleased songs in his vaults.
