A few weeks ago, we predicted that Michael Jackson would be the top-selling artist of 2009. He moves one step closer this week. Sales of his "Number Ones" greatest hits compilation now total 1,619,000 copies, moving it ahead of Taylor Swift's "Fearless" as the top-selling album of 2009, according to Billboard.

Add in the sales of other Jackson titles since his death, such as "Thriller," "The Essential Michael Jackson," "Bad," "Dangerous," and "Off the Wall," all of which still remain on Billboard's Top Comprehensive Albums chart and Jackson is well over 2 million copies.
