First, she gets to celebrate her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Just Dance," now Lady Gaga is taking her show on the road with her first U.S. headlining tour. "The Fame Ball," which her website declares will be "a tour experience unlike any other, features openers White Tie Affair and Chester French. The club tour starts March 12 at San Diego's House of Blues and heads to the Midwest before going to Canada and then hitting the east coast. The four-week outing concludes April 9 at Atlanta's Centerstage. No word yet when tickets go on sale and how much they cost.
Before she takes the stage as the main attraction stateside, Lady Gaga will spend much of January and February opening for the Pussycat Dolls in Europe.
Just a little note: March is shaping up as a high-water mark for dance pop fans. Britney Spears' first arena tour in five years kicks off March 3 in New Orleans. Opening act is, you guessed, the Pussycat Dolls. It all comes full circle.
