Keith Urban joins 'American Idol' season finale
Is he rooting for Kris or Adam?
Keith Urban is bringing some real starpower to the "American Idol" finale.
Adam, Kris and... Keith? Keith Urban will perform on the "American Idol" finale on Fox on Wednesday.
He joins a long list of artists who have warbled on the highly rated program this year including Katy Perry, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Jamie Foxx, Carrie Underwood, Lady GaGa and many others.
Urban's song selection is a secret, but if the charts are any indication, he's likely to sing "Kiss a Girl," which is at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart this week.
The country singer from Australia professes to be an "AI" fan. In a statement, he says: "There are (and were) some truly gifted vocalists. The Rat Pack episode was the best, across the board - nights of singing that I've ever seen on television. I guess what I love most about the show, is watching the musical growth - to see them use the critique given and come back the next week and blow you away......that's the magic of Idol."
Urban is on his "Escape Together" world tour. The outing resumes May 28 in Charleston, WV.
