Jonas Bros. burn it up on the road
New tour hits the U.S. in June after 3D concert flick disappoints
The Jonas Bros. non-stop tour continues. Don't these boys need a vacation?
The Jonas Bros. will start a new world tour on May 19 in Lima, Peru, the trio announced on its myspace page today.
After scattered dates in South America and Europe, the boys hit the U.S. on June 20, playing the Cowboys New Stadium in Dallas (yes, that does seem to be the official name right now). The rest of the shows will take place in arenas and ends Aug. 31 in Ottawa-just in time for everyone to head back to school.
Jordin Sparks and new act Honor Society will also be on the bill.
The band continues to make the difficult transition from teen idols to mainstream pop artists. They are talented, but it's a difficult road, littered with acts who came before them who couldn't bridge the gap. The band's "Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Experience" came in at No. 2 at the box office two weeks ago, but was viewed as a disappointment. Similarly, the CD of the concert debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 last week, falling to No. 15.
