Hotter than hot country duo Sugarland will be the focus of its first network television special Aug. 3 when ABC airs "Sugarland: Live on the Inside." The 60-minute show, taped at Louisville, Ky.'s Rupp Arena, is basically an hour-long commercial for Sugarland's "Live on the Inside" CD/DVD, which comes out, conveniently, Aug. 4.
Sugarland-composed of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush-has sold more than 7 million albums since releasing its debut CD in 2004. The group is the reigning CMA Awards vocal duo of the year and its hits include "Stay, " "It Happens," "All I Want to Do" and "Something More."
Nettles won a Grammy for her duet with Bon Jovi on "Who Says You Can't Go Home" and the group performed "Love Shack" with fellow Georgians the B-52s on the CMT Music Awards last week.
