Dave Matthews Band releases new album June 2
New summer tour dates on sales Thursday
The Dave Matthews Band will release its first studio album in four years on June 2.
The still-untitled album was produced by Rob Cavallo, who's worked with such acts as Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls and My Chemical Romance. Its last four studio albums have entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1
This will be the group's first studio project without saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who died following an ATV accident last summer. The rest of the band remains the same: drummer Carter Beauford, bassist Stefan Lessard and violinist Boyd Tinsley.
Additionally, DMB has announced new summer tour dates (Do these guys ever take the summer off? I may be wrong, but I'm hardpressed to come up with a summer when they haven't hit the road). These are in addition to the spring dates announced in January. Among the openers for the tour are Jason Mraz, Switchfood, Robert Randolph & The Family Band (whom we can't recommend highly enough), G. Love & Special Sauce, Old Crow Medicine Show, Donavon Frankenreiter and Robert Earl Keen.
Fans can request tickets through http://www.warehouse.davematthewsband.com/ starting tomorrow through March 2. They then go on sale to the general public
