Them Crooked Vultures,  the new group helmed by Foo Fighter Dave Grohl, will swoop into Chicago for its first show on Sunday, Aug. 9.

Grohl, who's on hiatus from the Foos, is joined by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Josh Homme.

The trio will play at Chicago's Metro club as  Lollapalooza, which takes place in the windy city, in winding down.

The band announced the show via Facebook, according to the BBC.

Grohl first hinted about the collaboration four years ago to Mojo magazine, but this is the maiden performance. No word on if the trio plans to record together.
