Conan picks Pearl Jam for 'Tonight Show' premiere
Seattle band will debut new material on June 1's show

Pearl Jam will be the musical guest for Conan O'Brien's first night as host of "The Tonight Show" on June 1.
The Seattle band will preview material from its forthcoming album, its first since 2006's self-titled disc (the one with the avocado on the front).
Pearl Jam is recording the new album at Southern Tracks in Atlanta. It was outside of the studio that Pearl Jam bassist was mugged May 13. http://www.hitfix.com/articles/2009-5-14-pearl-jam-bassist-assaulted-robbed-of
As the new host of "The Tonight Show," Conan O'Brien moves from his 12:35 a.m. slot to Jay Leno's old 11:35 p.m. time. He also switches locales from New York to Los Angeles.
Will Ferrell will also appear on the June 1 show. As O'Brien and Ferrell fans know, Ferrell joined the late night host for his last show in the 12:35 a.m. slot in February.
