Beyonce goes Sin City with live CD/DVD, 'I Am... Yours'

Beyonce...Vegas style.

 

Is this a precursor to Beyonce taking up residency in Las Vegas like Garth Brooks? On Nov. 23, Beyonce will release “I Am… Yours,” a live CD/DVD recorded during the singer’s performance at the 1,500-seat Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas earlier this year.
While the performance was billed as a one off, Wynn CEO Steve Wynn said during the Brooks’ press conference Oct. 15 that he is in ongoing discussions with Beyonce’s manager/father Mathew Knowles about possibly bringing in Beyonce to appear at the venue for extended runs, similar to the deal he struck with the country superstar.
In the meantime, fans will get this 30-song 2-CD/DVD of her Wynn appearance that also includes behind-the-scenes footage.
And there’s even more Beyonce coming. On the same day, a deluxe edition of “I Am… Sasha Fierce” will be released featuring two bonus tracks, including “Video Phone (Extended Remix),” which features Lady GaGa. The video will premiere on MTV on Nov. 5.
If that’s still not enough for you, on Thankgiving evening, ABC will air the one-hour television special, “Beyonce-I Am… Yours,” featuring footage culled from the Wynn extravaganza.
Garth fans: Don’t expect similar treatment from Brooks’ show. He told me in Vegas that he had no plans to release a live album from his acoustic Wynn show.
