Eminem's 'We Made You' is made for MTV
Vid clip breaks Britney Spears' streaming record on mtv.com
Eminem beats the Brits. At least in video streams.
Well, I might not like Eminem's new video, "We Made You," but apparently a lot of people do... or are at least curious enough about Slim Shady to see it. Eminem set a record for music video streams on MTV.com with 785,000 streams of the clip occurring within the first 24 hours.
Eminem breaks the record set previously by Britney Spears (who is lampooned in "We Made You") and her clip or "Womanizer," which earned 661,000 streams its first day in October.
Many of the video views came from sites such as People linking to MTV.com's embeddable player.
The video has also been playing on the hour on many of MTV's channels, including MTV, MTV2, MTV Hits, MTV TR3s, mtvU and MTV Jams.
