According to the folks over at Upcoming Film Scores, it looks like Brian Eno has signed on to contribute the score for Peter Jackson's new film "The Lovely Bones".

I think Eno is one of the greatest working record producers, and his work as a composer and performer is beyond reproach.  I'm a little surprised to see that Howard Shore's not going to be working with Jackson, but I'm always happy to see filmmakers mix it up and try new collaborators, especially on something as different as "The Lovely Bones" is going to be from anything Peter's made before.

Right now, "The Lovely Bones" is on track for a Christmas 2009 release from Dreamworks/Paramount.
