Recap: 'So You Think You Can Dance' Results - Down to 7
Would bad dancing or bad health doom the latest 'SYTYCD' contestant?
Alex of 'So You Think You Can Dance'
Oooh, this is a nerve wracking episode. We kick things off with a heavenly (literally) Mia Michaels routine with all the dancers floating around on little puffy clouds, then Nigel gets to prattle on about Emmy nominations, Adam gets excited about getting nominated for the Oscars, and finally Nigel gets excited about National Dance Day. But can we really focus on any of this when we’ve got an injured front runner and two other dancers about to join him in the bottom three? Seriously, this is not good for my heart.

July 9, 2010 at 2:00AM EST Reply to CommentI really wish Alex a speedy recovery. I truly hope he comes back next season. Really enjoyed watching him dance and it sucks that he was eliminated due to an injury.
Totally thought he rocked the hip hop performance with Twitch. I have watched it at least a dozen times.
His solo in his genre was so amazing as well.
Best of luck and hope to see you next season.

July 9, 2010 at 2:04AM EST Reply to CommentThanks for the recap. (Although I could do without the negativity).
I agree with you about Alex - but let's face it - I think there is something not quite right about having a professional dancer on the show. It just is not really fair to the others.

July 9, 2010 at 2:18AM EST Reply to CommentAlex has been one of my favorites (Jose being the others) from the beginning. Alex had not one, but TWO, performances so far this season that I have rewound and watched again. I'm so disappointed that he was injured and will miss getting to see him dance. I wish him a speedy recovery and a long, long career in dance!

July 9, 2010 at 2:22AM EST Reply to CommentAs for who will win -
It seems to me they are all pretty evenly matched, with good technique (varying levels) and different pluses they bring to the field. Of course the exception is Jose who stands out in terms of weakness in technique. I hate to say it - cause I really love the guy - but the others are so much better dancers. I think he has had his run and he really needs to go.
Ashely's dance last week - the purple wind - was so outstanding. the problem is, it was so smooth that I think a lot of people did not appreciate how incredibly difficult it was. Too bad.
With Jose out, it is a bit of a crap-shoot. They are all fairly equal. However I think it should go to one of the guys, but I cannot say which one.
(Can we put Katherine into the competition? I love seeing her dance. So glad she is back as an all-star. Fantastic technique and amazing commitment.)
Those are my thoughts - for what they are worth.

kenny That wasn't an appology - it was an excuse.
July 9, 2010 at 8:54PM ESTcher I haven't enjoyed her very much. She can be very mean spirited. It's OK to give an honest comment, but no reason to be nasty.

July 11, 2010 at 6:33PM EST Reply to CommentI will miss Alex; he really is the Best.. and I don't
think he has an unfair advantage as a pro dancer; most of the others could get pro jobs right now. I hope he can afford to screw with his career another season, so he can return to the show. I like the boys
better than the girls this season. I really don't know who will win, but would sort of guess Billy,
or Jose.. although I seriously could believe in the others too. I suppose it depends on who gets what choreography & partners. Mark
