Be honest.  If you found out you'd be nominated for an Academy Award chance are you'd (A) cry your eyes out (B) scream for joy or (C) jump up and down for joy like a little kid.  Well, even though he thought he'd be cool about it, option C was director Denis Villeneuve's reaction.  The Canadian filmmaker earned his first nomination in the best foreign language film category for his riveting drama "Incendies." Luckily for Awards Campaign, Villeneuve was up in Park City, Utah promoting the picture which is screening in the spotlight category (fellow nominee "In A Better World") and took some time to talk about the good news on camera.

Villeneuve hadn't lost any of his energy or enthusiasm from the morning, which he said began with lots of jumping up and down at the news.  He also spent some time talking about his fantastic leading lady, Lubna Azabal, who was also in Park City with the drama "Here" co-starring Ben Foster.  I asked him off camera if he knew who he was bringing to the big show and he said he hadn't thought about it yet, but probably wouldn't chose among his three daughters (awww).

"Incendies" will open in Los Angeles and New York on April 4. It will be worth the wait.
