LOS ANGELES - After premiering in Cannes and screening in Sydney, David Michod's critically acclaimed thriller "The Rover" finally made it to U.S. shores Thursday night.  A24 Films hosted a classy premiere in Westwood where fan favorite Robert Pattinson spent enough time on the red carpet to make the fans and the paparazzi happy.

Pattinson and co-star Guy Pearce didn't say much before the screening began, but Michod admitted he was more nervous for this premiere than he'd been for Cannes or in his native Australia (why was not clear).  It was a decidedly younger industry crowd for this premiere with acquisition execs, producers and press making their way past such notables as Zac Efron (who kindly posed for photos with fans in the lobby) to check out Michod's follow up to 2010's "Animal Kingdom."  You can check out all the highlights from the red carpet in the embedded gallery below.
