Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward's She & Him releasing holiday album
Duo putting their own indie rock spin on Christmas classics
She & Him
Christmas comes early this year for fans of actress-singer Zooey Deschanel and guitarist-singer M. Ward's amiable indie rock duo She & Him.
Merge Records announced they will release the group's holiday-themed "A Very She & Him Christmas" on October 25.
The duo's third album, "Christmas" includes their take on such seminal yuletide tunes as "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "The Christmas Song" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." A stripped-down, intimate affair, many of the tracks were recorded with solely acoustic guitar and vocals.
In the meantime, you can get your Zooey fix by watching the premiere episode of her new FOX comedy "New Girl," or by seeing her in the film comedy "Our Idiot Brother," in theaters now.
Here's the complete track listing:
1. The Christmas Waltz
2. Christmas Day
3. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
4. I’ll Be Home for Christmas
5. Christmas Wish
6. Sleigh Ride
7. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
8. Silver Bells
9. Baby, It’s Cold Outside
10. Blue Christmas
11. Little Saint Nick
12. The Christmas Song
