Will Smith, Charlize Theron confirmed for 'Hancock' sequel
Jason Bateman also will be rejoining the team
Will Smith in "Hancock"
Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman will all be returning for the sequel to "Hancock," according to a report from Variety.
Director Peter Berg will also reunite with the principal actors and has tapped the talents of writers Adam Fierro ("24," "Dexter") and Glen Mazzara ("The Shield") for the script.
Berg disclosed information on the superhero comedy at the Toronto International Film Festival, noting: "Everybody's going to come back for a sequel." The original 2008 film pulled in $624 million internationally.
It's expected that the sequel would explore Smith and Theron's roles as gods who seem to lose powers when near each other. Batement plays Smith's character's PR handler.
