Are Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg scratching their heads somewhere in confusion?

It's only a teaser trailer, but the first preview of the new horror-comedy "Zombieland" makes the movie look a lot in style and tone to Wright and Pegg's 2004 cult hit "Shaun of the Dead."  Only in this version, the London local has been switched out for a suburban landscape across the Atlantic in the good ol' U.S.A.

The fall release stars Jessie Eisenberg ("Adventureland"), Emma Stone ("Superbad"), Abigail Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine") and a kickin' butt Woody Harrelson.  The movie's synopsis says the film focuses on Columbus (Eisenberg) and Tallahassee (Harrelson) who have to join forces or "succumb to the world of the zombies."   Well, the Brits can't corner the market on zombie horror comedies right?

Check out the embedded trailer below and decide for yourself.  Does "Zombieland" look like a must-see or have we seen this done in "Shaun" before?  Post a comment and let us know.

"Zombieland" opens nationwide on Oct. 9.
