Watch: Victoria outwits the Cullens in new 'Eclipse' clip
Who's the fastest vampire in the forest?
It's going to be an "Eclipse"-packed couple of days here on HitFix. The editorial team will have a number of interviews posted throughout the weekend and early next week as the film's publicity machine gets into gear. In anticipation of the barrage of "Twilight" stories, Summit Entertainment has slowly been releasing new clips of the highly anticipated thriller during the week. The latest is an action packed jaunt that may peak the interest of the male moviegoer populace.
As the "Twilight" universe turns, when we last left Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) there was more than just a love triangle in swing. Victoria, previously played by fan favorite Rachelle Lefevre, was attempting to hunt down Bella as revenge for the death of her beloved but dumb vampire boyfriend James (Cam Gigandet) in the first "Twilight." The more time passes, the closer she gets to hurting Bella, even with Jacob's wolfpack buddies and the Cullens to protect her. In this new scene from "Eclipse," The Cullens have picked up Victoria's sent and use their super-speed (take that Flash) to hunt her down. Victoria, now portrayed by Bryce Dallas Howard, does her best to outwit and outrun the first family of classy bloodsuckers. You can watch the clip embedded above the copy of this story.
For more "Eclipse" teases, check out the three previews below.
You're a vampire now
Xavier Samuels makes Riley potentially more scary than Victoria as he creates his Vampire army.
Edward and the Cullens are clueless to the new vampire scent they are detecting (hint: it's Riley) and Bella drops a bombshell that she has someone else who can protect her if necessary.
Bella visits the Wolfpack
In a less dramatic scene, Jacob gets busted on by his fellow werewolves for his continuing crush on Bella.
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" opens nationwide on June 30.
