Canadian rockers serenaded Ballroom 20 with the 'BBT' theme
It was an extremely busy day in Comic-Con's Ballroom 20, with "True Blood" and Joss Whedon both filling the room to capacity, but for many fans, the high point came at midday with a surprise performance by Canada's The Barenaked Ladies.
After lyrics to the "Big Bang Theory" theme song were passed around between panels, many in attendance suspected some sort of sing-along was afoot, but there was still great excitement when moderator Wil Wheaton introduced The Barenaked Ladies including lead singer Ed Robertson, a self-confessed geek himself.
To be fair, the lyrics were wasted on the audience, since nearly everybody in attendance had their phones or cameras in the air trying to record the moment for posterity.
We're not sure why they bothered, since Warner Brothers TV hastily provided this clip:
